Configuring the APW

This page covers all the configuration options available in the current APW release

IMPORTANT

All configuration settings are held in a discrete file - config.js. This is loaded by all pages before any other site specific files meaning changes made to it will be instantly implemented across the whole site. If modifying a live site, all current visitors will see the changes made on the next page load or refresh - take care not to make any mistakes!

Adding your own pages

Starting from New

As with all APW's that i release, I have included a template page to provide a framework to get you started. However, unlike previous versions this template is just a framework and will require you to do some editing to make it work as required.

One of the features of both flex boxes and grids is that their children can accept a special style: order:#. This enables the grid or flex box object to display their contents in an order unrelated to their actual html coded position.

Themes

As with all the 'Alternative' sites produced by me, this site includes colour themes that can be swapped out at will. All colours used on the site are held in a single cascading style sheet that is configured and loaded as the page loads.

This page explains how to use them, their structure and how to create your own. Of course, if you are happy to use the default grey theme then you do not need to do anything.
